India and Pakistan recently reached the brink of a full-blown war. A suicide bomb-attack on Indian troops in the city of Srinagar in the Indian-administered state of Jammu and Kashmir prompted an Indian airstrike inside Pakistan. Pakistan's armed response came a day later. Since then tensions have cooled, but relations remain at a low. Meanwhile, civilian populations on both sides of the border have suffered. DW Correspondent Sonia Phalnikar travelled to Srinagar, the capital of Indian Administered Kashmir, to see how people are coping.
