Kashmir conflict: Pakistani Ambassador to Germany joins DW in the studio

Jauhar Saleem, Pakistan's Ambassador to Germany, joined DW's Amrita Cheema in the studio to discuss the ongoing Kashmir dispute between India and Pakistan. Pakistan says it is willing to free a captured Indian pilot - if it helps de-escalate tensions with India over the disputed territory of Kashmir. The statement comes a day after Pakistan shared footage purporting to show the pilot - who was shot down by Pakistan warplanes. India says it also shot down a Pakistani plane on Wednesday - and both countries traded fire overnight. The US and EU are urging both sides to exercise restraint. Jauhar Saleem, Pakistan's Ambassador to Germany, spoke today to DW.
