Today the once autonomous region of Kashmir officially changes into two federally controlled territories. One is called Jammu and Kashmir and the other is Ladakh. Since Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi made the decision back in August, the region's been under lockdown with no internet, local politicians arrested, and limited information filtering out. Prime Minister Modi qwlo welcomed a group of mostly far-right members of the EU Parliament to the region, sparking angry protests and raising eyebrows in Europe.
