A month after India revoked Kashmir’s special status and imposed a lockdown on the region that includes a communications blackout, internet and cell services are still down and phone lines are only now being restored. The restrictions have had an impact on medical care as well. DW’s Nimisha Jaiswal went to Kashmir to find out more. None of the people she spoke to are named, at their request.
