(This episode was originally streamed LIVE) On this episode of AMC Mail Bag (Saturday Sept 7th 2013) we take the following viewer emails:

Dan Bherry writes: Hey guys, love the show, cant get enough of it. anyway, my question is, why didn't Tom Welling get cast as Superman in Man Of Steel. While I loved Cavil as superman, I cant help but wonder why welling wasn't cast. Was he even in the running? as john has stated in the past, he isn't an extremely well know actor, and I believe the role would have sky rocked his career in film.

James A writes: Hi AMC, love the show! Anyway, since Tony Stark is possibly involved with creating Ultron in the next Avengers movie, I don't think all the blame should go to him. What if Justin Hammer (Sam Rockwell), from Iron Man 2, could take the most blame of creating Ultron? Of course they would have to include a small creative reason in the movie of why Hammer is not in prison since he possibly might have gone to prison at the end of Iron Man 2. I mean think about it, he broke Ivan Vanko (Mickey Rourke) out of prison in Iron Man 2. Then he worked with Vanko to create the drones, and had his hands on the War Machine suit. So Hammer has gained an understanding of the Iron Man technology. What do you think about Hammer creating Ultron?

Markus Taylor writes: hey john and gang!! love the show. regarding 50 shades of grey, (which shouldnt be happening anyway), wasnt there already a movie starring maggie gylenhall called the secretary about this character?

John Carter writes: According to Box Office Mojo Pacific Rim had a production budget of $190 million and brought in $404 million worldwide. Now that doesn't take into account the cost of marketing, but there is also the merchandise that is yet to come. What do you think it will take for us to get a sequel in the works? How many BluRays do I have to buy for my dreams to come true? Do you have any inside scoop on this topic? I tend to think it will come down to toy and video sales. Considering Batman Begins had a similar ratio of $150 mil for the budget and $374 mil worldwide gross (and Batman had a very popular franchise name to draw from), I kinda see Pacific Rim as a greater success since it came out of nowhere. What do you think?

Brian T writes: Hello everyone, My question is about new comic book characters in marvel properties that have been sold off (x-men and spiderman) My question is this, say that marvel comics makes a new character in the x-men universe ( like a new mutant with the ability to banter well about movies named Jon Eisenbach) Does 20th century fox get exclusive rights to that character in the x-men universe or does marvel keep the rights and then could put it in it's own stand alone movie or fold it into the avengers universe.

Joe Fawley writes: Hey guys, I was wondering since they remade evil dead does this mean a remake for army of darkness is on the way? I'm a huge fan of the original. Also, do you think they will make it more serious or keep the silly humor of the original? Keep up the good work ;)
