AMC Mail Bag - BATMAN v SUPERMAN Does It Matter Who Is Taller?

On this installment of AMC Mail Bag (Saturday August 2nd 2014) we address the following viewer emails:


Nick Denbow writes: Hey guys! Love the show and watch everyday. I was wondering what you guys think are the most underrated animated films. I think Oliver & Company, The Emperor's New Groove, and Robots are the most underrated. Thanks!

Jesus Martinez writes: Hey guys, love the show. I was wondering if other members of the justice league will get their own score such as Hans Zimmer's man of steel? And what will happen to superman's score?

Jason I writes: Hey AMC Movie Talk crew! I love your show. I was just wondering what you guys thought about footage or trailers that are only shown at Comic Con panels and then never shown again. I personally hate it because it deprives most of the fans from ever witnessing something from a film that they are huge fans of. I also think many diehard fans have legitimate reasons for not being able to make it out to Comic Con and they are not any less loyal than the fans at the panel.

Kyle Carragher writes: Hey AMC movie crew, love the show. I re watched one of my favourite Disney animation films the other day, Lilo and Stitch. I loved that film when it came out but I was disappointed by the straight-to-dvd sequels. Will we ever see that franchise visited again?

Zachery Merrell writes: After watching the abysmal Boondock Saints sequel, a thought popped in my head: Is it better to have an attempt at making a good sequel or to leave certain movies as a stand alone film? Some of these films have horrible sequels and some are wanted by fans. So, putting hindsight aside, is it better to have the filmmakers try and fail (again Boondock Saints 2) or to not have one at all (unfortunately True Lies)? Thanks and keep bringing that sweet dirty filthy!

Liam Tobin writes: Hey guys, love the show! Would you like to see Kate Beckinsale return as Selina in the Underworld franchise? I thought she did an amazing job and undoubtedly owns that character, and I enjoyed all the Underworld films so I would love to see more. Also I would like to know which of the four films is your favourite and why?

Elliot Cain writes: Hey guys, love the show! Quick question, before Jesse Eisenberg was cast as Lex Luthor in Batman V Superman, there was lots of talk about Bryan Cranston becoming the next Luthor. How would you feel if he was cast as James Gordon?

Anthony Lopez writes: So I saw some footage from the DC Comic-Con panel. Ben Affleck came out, Henry Cavill followed, and I was personally shocked by how much taller 'Batman' was than 'Superman'. I never realized how whoppingly tall Affleck was untill I saw the two of them next to each other. However, in all depictions of these fictional characters, Superman is "just a little bit" taller than Batman. How do you think they will handle this in the upcoming movie? Do you think they will put in the extra effort to make Superman appear taller than Batman, or will they just let it ride like it is?
