Previously if you wanted a 4-door Maserati, you had to spend well over $100k for the Quattroporte model. The Ghibli is an all-new, smaller, more affordable model with a base price of just under $66k. On the outside the Ghibli has a very distinctive Quattroporte shape, the fenders portholes, and the large and low front grille with the Masterati Trident.Under the hood of the 2014 Masterati Ghibli is a twin-turbo 3.0 liter V-6 engine that makes 345 horsepower in the base model or 404 horsepower in the S model. 0-60 MPH takes about 5 seconds depending on if you have RWD or the AWD Q4 model. The rear seat space is a bit snug for adult but the seats are very nice and deeply dished. Up front there is a ton of leather which is what you would expect from a high end luxury car. To bring the price down, the Maserati Ghibli uses many parts sourced from Chrysler including the switches, infotainment center, and even the shifter. The important parts (the driving bits) are still all Maserati. The Ghibli was designed to compete with the Mercedes E-Class. The steering is still hydraulic giving you a nice organic feel, the suspension is amazing and feels like dancing. This 2014 Maserati Ghibli S retails for about $76k. Still that price is cheap when you consider this is a proper exotic Italian car.See More Car Videoshttp://www.autobytel.com/car-videos/Join Our Facebook Pagehttp://www.facebook.com/autobytel
