The "L" in the Audi A8 L stands for Long or Long Wheelbase. This extended length version of the A8 seen here is powered by a 3.0 liter Turbo-Diesel V-6 engine that makes 240 Horsepower and 406 lb-ft. of torque. Fuel economy figures check in at 24 MPG in the city and 36 MPG on the highway. The price for the Audi A8 L with the TDI engine is $82,500.

The backseat is the place to be in the extended wheelbase edition. The car is packed full of features and luxury amenities. There are automatic sunshades, a rear seat sunroof, and the arm has controls for the climate.

The real advantage to this car is the fuel economy which is much better than the regular 3.0T model. There really are no direct competitors as Mercedes does not have a diesel S-Class nor does BMW have a diesel 7-Series. The A8 L is big, comfortable, and an excellent value compared to other large luxury cars.
