The first generation Dodge Viper was truly one of the most frightening cars you could drive thanks to the powerful V-10 engine and lack of stability control. This second generation car does have the electronic goodies but that does not mean it cannot scare you to death with its 640 horsepower. The GTS model tested here has a price of $122,385.
Under the hood is an awesome 8.4 liter V-10 engine capable of 640 HP and 600 lb-ft. of torque. That is enough to get the Viper from 0-60 MPH in a tick over 3.0 seconds. The 204 SRT Viper has a lot of carbon fiber pieces for weight savings, total curb weight is only 3415 lbs. Everything about this car is bigger than life: the acceleration is unreal and the brakes are neck snapping.
