On Sunday, voters in Turkey's biggest city, Istanbul, go to the polls in a controversial rerun of March's mayoral election, in which Ekrem Imamoglu of the opposition CHP party narrowly won over former Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim, of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's ruling AK party. The results were canceled after the AK party claimed there were irregularities. The AK party has governed Istanbul for decades, but there's a distinct possibility that this time, and even with the re-vote, it will lose its grip on the city. DW's Julia Hahn reports.
