In Spain, the Socialist party has won the general election, aiming to form a left-wing coalition with the anti-austerity party Podemos. Those on the left were celebrating into the night, but so were those on the far-right: the anti-migration, anti-feminist populist party Vox also gained a significant number of seats for the first time.
