Polls have opened across Spain in what is the country's most divisive general election in decades. The party of Socialist Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez is expected to get the most votes, but may not garner enough support to form a government. The election is marked by the importance of smaller parties, and in particular by the rise of the far-right movement Vox, which opposes multiculturalism and has threatened to end self rule for regions like Catalonia.
