Aušrinė is the coordinator of Learn Before You Vote: a political watchdogging initiative made for, and by young people in Lithuania, which strives to foster dialogue between politicians and citizens. The project, which is mainly supported by Erasmus+, spread throughout the country during the 2016 parliamentary elections and has become a true network, coordinated by 200 volunteers, aged 15 to 25, from more than 25 cities and towns. Through the network’s large-scale activities, young people actively participate in elections, organise debates with politicians, and monitor political statements and decisions on a daily basis.
