Michael comes from the Irish Traveller Community. Today, he is a volunteer with Galway Youth Work and part of the national youth action group in his native Ireland. His first youth exchange in Estonia covered citizenship, entrepreneurship and filmmaking. He went on to do a month-long EVS in Finland, and spent 10 months with the programme in Georgia. Since then, he’s led three youth exchange programmes and been a trainer for rural youth work. Michael ultimately believes that education is the ticket to a better, brighter life experience.
