2015 Chevrolet Colorado Mid-Sized Pickup Truck Test Drive Video Review

It has been a long time since there was a new entry into the mid-sized pickup truck market here in North America. In order to make a splash, GM has decided to take their Global platform and Americanize it in order to give buyers here in the U.S. exactly what they are looking for in a mid-sized pickup truck. The question is: does anyone really want a mid-sized truck? Full-sized trucks already come in every configuration imaginable.
GM thinks there is a market for mid-sized trucks. The Colorado is more of a lifestyle truck aimed at more urban drivers. It’s important to understand that the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon are built on an all new platform so they are entirely different from the previous generations.
Starting price on the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado is $20,120. There is also a range of engines that includes a 3.6 liter V-6 that makes 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft. of torque as well as a 2.5 liter 4-cylinder that make 200 horsepower and gets 18 MPG in the city and 26 MPG on the highway. There is a nice variety of box or bed lengths and different cab sizes.
