The Chevrolet Sonic should be on your shopping list for a couple of reasons:
1) The car is very cheap with a starting price of $14,170
2) It is one of the few small cars actually built in America
3) The Sonic drives and handles well
4) The car is very safe with 10 airbags

On the inside the Sonic is cheeky and playful. The instrument set-up is unique combining both analog and digital gauges. The brushed silver trim and fake suede is nice enough. The driver's compartment is roomy and easy to see the road. The basic Sonic engine is a naturally aspirated 1.8 liter. But this Sonic RS has a 1.4 liter ECOTEC turbocharged 4-cylinder which is peppy and eager.

The Sonic puts together some great ingredients resulting in a very satisfying overall experience. This RS model starts at $20k after all is said and done.
