Elfriede has been working with thousands of young people for 40 years. Her burning passion is bringing young people together to perform theatre. She has completed three Erasmus+ training projects, which have truly complemented her teaching career. Today, she volunteers for the Aachen Network for Humanitarian Aid, known as Flame for Peace, and does intercultural peace work activities for the BINA MIRA Stage of Peace. Thanks to Erasmus+, Elfriede organised the 2016 Stage for Peace theatre festival in Zrenjanin, Serbia. This year, she will bring the 100 young people that attended it to the German speaking community in her native Belgium, to learn about the European Community, democracy and tolerance.
