With a base price of $11,990; the 2014 Nissan Versa S is the least expensive production car sold in America. Truth be told, the Versa S is actually a great value. You can tell by looking at the Versa with its plastic wheel covers and blacked out grille. There are other cars in this price range that get better gas mileage. The Versa has tons of interior room compared to the other sub-compact cars. If you have a family to haul and don't have much of a budget, then the Versa may be the perfect choice.

The interior is pretty much what you would expect from America's cheapest car: hard black plastics materials, cable operated controls, manual windows, and cheap upholstery. The Versa does however have an Ace up its sleeve. The back seat is this sub-compact car rivals that of midsized sedans.

The Versa S is powered by a 1.6 liter 4-cylinder engine that makes 109 horsepower and 107 lb-ft. of torque. The 5-speed manual gear box helps the car get 27 MPG in the city and 36 MPG on the highway.
