The Kona is a new model for 2018 and offers top flight connectivity, funky fun styling, and a great price. The Kona is the first B-Segment crossover from Hyundai to land on the American shores. Is the Kona as fun and easy-going as the Hawaiian Island region? Prices range from $19,500 for the base SE trim up to $28,700 for the Ultimate model. Hyundai did not hold back with the color scheme of the car seen here which is covered in Lime Twist paint. The interior is as equally funky and fun as the exterior. The driver’s seat is a pleasant place to be.
The new Kona has some aggressive and interesting styling consisting of a sharply angled front end that features a stylish grille and LED lights. Along the sides, Hyundai has fitted the Kona with some off-road inspired fender covers which add fun to the overall look.
Under the hood there are 2 engine options. The first is a base 2.0 liter 4-cylinder that makes 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft. of torque. Step up to the higher level trims and you get a turbocharged 1.6 liter GDI 4-cylinder engine that makes 175 horsepower and 195 lb-ft. of torque. The transmission is a 7-speed DCT gearbox.
