The Sonata has been completely redesigned for the 2015 model year. This marks the seventh generation and although it may not be as stylish as the previous generation, the 2015 model is still one terrific mid-sized family sedan. Those stylish lines have been toned down a bit thanks in part to a better aerodynamic effect. Base price on the 2015 Hyundai Sonata is $21,150.
Under the hood there are 3 different engine options and the model tested here is equipped with the most common: a 2.4 liter 4-cylinder that makes 185 horsepower and 178 lb-ft. of torque. Fuel economy figures come in at 25 MPG in the city and 37 MPG on the highway.
The fact of the matter is that the 2015 Hyundai Sonata is an amazing vehicle for its price. Add in class leading warranty, top-notch crash test scores, and fuel economy figures; and you have a real contender.
