Nissan has been building the Sentra since 1982 and since that time, the Sentra has become a beloved little car. So how does the 2014 model stack up? Well the exterior has been redesigned and looks more modern and stylish featuring the signature grille treatment. The new Sentra is larger and more spacious than ever. The base price is $15,990 while the SR model seen here goes for $18,690.

On the outside the LED headlights and taillights seem like they belong on a luxury car, the front end looks very similar to the Altima, and the Metallic Blue Paint is very eye catching. Under the hood is a 1.8 liter 4-cylinder that makes 130 horsepower and 128 lb-ft. of torque. The transmission is a CVT which helps fuel economy numbers reach 30 MPG in the city and 39 MPG in the highway.

The SR model gets a few sport touches like 17-inch alloy wheels, blacked out grille, and a rear spoiler. The inside is more upscale with soft-touch materials, bright trim, a touch screen, and BOSE stereo. Gone are the days of econo-box fun replaced with fuel economy and creature comforts. The Sentra is no longer the affordable compact car but that is ok as the new Sentra is still a great car.
