In Sudan, at least seven people have been killed and almost 200 injured in clashes between police and protesters. Thousands took to the streets across the country to demand the ruling military council hand power to a civilian government. The demonstrations are the biggest since Transitional Military Council head General Mohamed Hamdan's Rapid Support Forces opened fire on a protest in the capital Khartoum on June 3, 2019, killing dozens.
