Sylvain Tremblay is the owner, team manager, lead designer and even driver for the Speed Source Mazda race team. Sylvain has been involved with the Japanese automaker since 1995 when he raced a twin-turbo RX-7 in the Speedvision Touring Championship. More recently Speed Source pioneered development of the RX-8, influencing production design, and ultimately taking home multiple wins at the 24 Hours of Daytona.
Speed Source is currently helping Mazda to develop their diesel power plants through motorsport. Mazda is the only manufacturer in the Tudor United Sports Car Series to be entering a production based diesel engine, with the racing motor sharing quite a few parts with the street cars, it is amazing what Speed Source has been able to do.
