Mazda MX-5 Cup Champion Kenton Koch is experienced in all things Zoom-Zoom. While the young racer normally finds himself behind the wheel of everything from Mazda Miatas, to Formula cars and even some seat time in prototypes; he knows that paying your dues is a big part of racing. So when it came time to act as a spotter for the Speed Source Mazda Skyactiv-D Prototype last weekend at Long Beach, he knew that it was a step in the right direction.
Kenton is a member of the Mazda Road to Indy, a ladder series sponsored by Mazda that allows young drivers to rise through the ranks of open-wheel racing here in the U.S. and ultimately end up racing IndyCars.
