Dr. G. Christine Taylor became Purdue University's first Vice Provost for Diversity and Chief Diversity Officer in August 2009. Taylor provides strategic leadership for Purdue's efforts to embrace and promote diversity and inclusion with an emphasis on attracting and retaining both a diverse student body, as well a diverse faculty and staff. Prior to assuming her role at Purdue, Dr. Taylor served as associate vice president for institutional diversity at Miami University of Ohio. Leading up to her career in higher education, Taylor enjoyed a successful career in public broadcasting. She is a trainer, facilitator and motivational speaker who has worked with organizations throughout on the country on leadership, communications, team building and diversity.
