In Hong Kong, tens of thousands marched against the territorial government again in a rally that ended outside West Kowloon train station, which links Hong Kong to the Chinese mainland. The activists wanted to raise awareness among tourists arriving from mainland China about what they consider anti-democratic policy proposals. The protests were sparked several weeks ago by a bill that would allow Hong Kong to extradite suspects to mainland China. The government put the bill on hold, but the movement has expanded to include many issues angering Hong residents, who are worried about China's increasing influence over the region. DW's Matthias Bölinger visited West Kowloon train station where China's reach extends deep into the heart of Hong Kong.
