The MINI S E Countryman ALL4 hybrid has a base price of $36,800 compared to the base Countryman which costs $31,200. But the E Countryman is eligible for a $4000 Federal Tax Credit which takes some of the sting out of the purchase price. If you are in the market for an All-Wheel drive plug-in hybrid then this is the only game in town.

The hybrid system combines a 134 horsepower turbocharged 1.5 liter 3-cylinder engine with an electric motor to produce a total of 221 horsepower and 284 lb-ft of torque. This delivers a factory estimated 0-60 MPH time of 6.7 seconds. The transmission is a 6-speed automatic. The MINI E Countryman Plug-In Hybrid is very mild mannered and transition between gas and electric is seamless. EPA estimates a 65 MPG equivalent score with about 12 miles of all electric driving range.
