The Volkswagen Golf is now lighter, larger, and more fun to drive. Available with 2 doors or 4 doors and starting a bit under $18K, the hatchback can be had in an automatic or a manual, electric, gas, turbocharged, or R sporty versions. Automatic post-collision braking, Bluetooth hands-free calling, and a touchscreen infotainment system are standard for every 2015 Golf, and all but the least expensive 1.8T Launch Edition model include Bluetooth streaming audio. All of that and with an IIHS a “Top Safety Pick” rating, there is no wonder why the VW Golf won the 2015 Autobytel Car of the Year honors and swept both the Autobytel Compact Car of the Year and Alternative Fuel categories.
