US President Donald Trump has promised to "wipe out" Turkey's economy if it wipes out Syria's Kurds, and US ambassador to the UN Kelly Kraft has warned Turkey it could face "consequences" if it does nothing to protect civilians, as it pushes ahead with its offensive in Kurdish positions in northern Syria. Meanwhile, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan threatened to flood Europe with refugees if the EU referred to Turkey's presence in Syria as an invasion as thousands of Kurdish civilians fled the region to escape "Operation Peace Spring." Would sanctions rein Erdogan in?
