Ingredients:

180 g unsalted butter
180 g good quality dark chocolate
150 g caster sugar
150 g soft brown sugar
3 large eggs
60 g plain flour
40 g cocoa powder
75 g dark chocolate chips
60 g pecan nuts

Step 1: Melt The Chocolate

Preheat the oven to 180° c/360° f. In a saucepangently heat the unsalted butter, and the brown and white sugars. Break up the dark chocolate and add to the pan. Heat until all the ingredients have melted together. Keep stirring to ensure the chocolate doesn't burn.

Step 2: Add The Eggs&Dry Ingredients

Once all the ingredients have melted take the pan off the heat and leave to cool slightly. Beat the eggs into the cooled mixture one at a time. The mixture should start turning glossy. Add the flour and cocoa powder and stir through.

Step 3: Add The Nuts&Chocolate

Add the pecan nuts to the mixture, breaking up any large ones and stir through the chocolate chips. Pour the mixture into a lined 8 inch by 8 inch baking tray. Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes until a crust has formed on the top and it is fairly firm to the touch.

Step 4: Serve

Remove your brownies from the oven and leave to cool. Sprinkle over some cocoa powder and cut into cubes. Serve while still slightly warm.
