Hong Kong has seen 16 straight weekends of pro-democracy protests. Alongside the battle in the streets, there's also a battle for people's hearts and minds. Demonstrators say popular support in Hong Kong is behind them. But government officials insist there's a silent majority opposed to the protesters' demands. DW spoke to two retired police officers who say they support the Hong Kong government and China's central government in Beijing.
