Functional Citizenship:Papa Akhurst at TEDxLabone

Papa talks about making a change, making that change impactful and making that impactful change reach the masses. In what he calls "Functional citizenship" he explains why the DNA of a country is the exact reflection of who the people in the country are. Papa believes the country will move forward when the attitude of the people change for the better.

Papa AKHURST is a Communication and Technology oriented young Ghanaian passionate about entrepreneurship. He is currently the Director for IT at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the founder of the African Entrepreneurship Community (AEC) which was born out of the need for an avenue for entrepreneurs and investors to have easy access to each other as well as get the needed services to get them investment ready.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
