Changing the Story for Canadian Athletes: Leah Skerry at TEDxStJohns

Leah Skerry is a Nova Scotia businesswoman, sport health and wellness enthusiast and entrepreneur. Leah earned her business degree from Saint Mary's University with a focus in design from NSCAD in 2009.

In 2010 Leah joined Norex as its Managing Partner to restructure and reset the focus on excellence for the twelve-year-old boutique web firm receiving the highest
international industry praise for excellence in client website work this past year.

Leah is the co founder of Pursuit; an online startup designed to help Canadian amateur athletes receive funding through crowd funding. Leah is a trustee of
Awesome Halifax and board member of Empathy Factory.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
