Jill Greenhalgh is an avid "Communitarian." As executive director of the Century College Foundation, she oversees fundraising for the largest community college in Minnesota. As a member of her home community, she has served in a leadership capacity on the boards of nonprofits focused on the arts, history, nature, and social justice. In her current volunteer service on the Stillwater Area Community Foundation board, she is helping to guide the focus on how a community can nurture leaders, young and old, and how they can create a new community-wide identity. Jill holds a bachelor's degree from St. Olaf College and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas, and has been trained by the National Speakers Association of Minnesota.

A skilled storyteller, Jill uses her TEDxMahtomedi talk to encourage listeners to use their own stories to transform their lives.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
