One artist uses driftwood to create towering and intricate masterpieces. Jeffro Uitto finds the wood near his home on the Washington coast.

Driftwood serves as an added touch of beauty from our oceans and shores.

One remarkable artist uses those stray pieces of wood to create towering and intricate masterpieces.

Jeffro Uitto utilizes driftwood which he finds near his home on the Washington coast. He then makes art projects which can range in function from huge sculptures to household furnishings or elaborate trim.

Jeffro's website states "Every project that rolls out of the shop enjoys the same careful construction whether it's a rose bud made from cedar shavings or a commissioned sculpture." Some of Jeffro's driftwood furniture includes coffee tables, living room chairs and even small bar setups.

Each piece has an almost vintage appearance, due to the imperfect lines, holes and indents of the driftwood. Jeffro also has a line of unique sculptures.

Some of the pieces can be described as abstract sculptures, while others depict creatures such as crabs.
