AN artist has taken graffiti to incredible new levels with his extraordinary lifelike portraits. The 39-year-old, known only as Akse, uses spray cans alone to create his intricate photorealism murals on walls across the UK. The familiar face of Hollywood star Anthony Hopkins appears in stunning detail. Akse's work also includes portraits of actors Javier Bardem and Christopher Walken, as well as the late Amy Winehouse. Each three-metre mural can take up to two days to complete -- but Akse, from Manchester, doesn't have to worry about working in secret. Unlike traditional graffiti artists, he chooses to paint on legal sites.
