On today's installment of AMC Mail Bag, John and Dennis take the following viewer questions:
Thomas Travis writes: Alright guys my question is about the upcoming Mandela biopic starring idris elba, I understand its still a really sore topic at the moment but do you believe with the passing of Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela that film will far surpass originally estimated figures?
S Hughes writes: Do you think Green Lantern Box office performance had effect on Green Arrow movie development from what i heard WB were high on the script and do you think WB will come back to the script and try fit it in DC Cinematic Universe and introduce Green Arrow in phase 2 of DC Cinematic Universe?
Jacob Van Houtan writes: Greetings and salutations AMC movie talkers. When you talk about a guy to godfather the universe for DC like Kevin Feige, to me it is a no brainier. What about Kevin Smith? He has the brain for movies as well as comic books. Is this a bad idea or a good idea?
Ognjen Gavrilovic writes: Hey AMC, great show. My question is... How long does post-production actually last. Lets take the upcoming Amazing Spider-man for an example. The movie is 6 months until released. And it's been in post-production for some time now. When is the movie actually done? There must be some screenings involved, and I know that, let's say, Late Night hosts get to see it in advance, so they can promote it on their shows. Anyways, to sum it all up. How much works is being done in pp, and and when is the movie finished/edited?
Louis Ceresa writes: Hi guys my question is with the venom rumors in the amazing spiderman 2 the way i think it might be handled is spider man with his own power is incapable of stopping all of these threats in the movie but he gets the black suit that gives him a power boost but with side effects. at the end of the movie hew removes it due to reasons and then attaches to whomever hey want to be venom in this universe (hopefully Eddie brock).
FinlaysFlicks writes: Hello AMC! Love the show. My question is about Godzilla. I am sure that John agrees with me when I say that Pacific Rim was awesome. There is no denying, however, that it kinda stumbled financially. I think that part of the reason for that is because it was not something that people were familiar with. Godzilla, however,I think has a better shot, because everyone knows what Godzilla is. Sure, some people might be turned off by it because of memories of the last Godzilla movie, but I still think it has a chance to do well. What are your thoughts? #bringonthefilthy.
