A Walkabout At Bentong Morning Market

What a beautiful way to start your day with a slow walkabout in a local open air morning market in the border town of Bentong. This video takes you in and around this famous daily morning market that has been around for decades .It is indeed an outdoor street market just beside the wet market of the town that caters for meat , poultry and other groceries. But te ral hustle and bustle is in this outdoor area where locals and visitors form an unending stream of customers in search of a huge slection of things to buy. Take a look at the video and you will find Musang King durians, sour sops, fresh vegetables, petai, herbs, famous Bentong ginger and an assortment   of ready to take home food such as fried banana fritters, dumplings and even roti canai! There is a stall selling live 'soon hock', a popular fish that is highly priced in the city restaurants. One very interesting discovery is the Ting Ting Candy, an age old favourite that attracts even the seniors.
