The HR-V is based on the Honda Fit but inside the cabin it sure feels more like a crossover. Under the hood is a 1.8 liter 4-cylinder that makes 141 horsepower and 127 lb-ft of torque. The base price on the HR-V is $19,115 for the LX with a manual transmission and the price on the EX-L AWD model tested here is $25,840. The 2016 Honda HR-V does and admirable job of hauling people and cargo in a nicely appointed cabin.
