With this newest version, the Honda CR-V sets the standard to which all small crossovers will be compared. For the 2017 model year, Honda gives us the brand new 5th generation CR-V. There are 4 trim levels ranging in price from $24,045 or the FWD LX base model up to $33,695 for the Touring AWD model seen here. The small crossover class is extremely competitive with competition coming from the Toyota RAV4, Nissan Rogue, Ford Escape, and the Mazda CX-5.

Under the hood is a turbocharged 1.5 liter Earth Dreams 4-cylinder engine mated to a CVT that makes 190 horsepower and 179 lb-ft. of torque. Fuel economy is rated at 27 MPG in the city and 33 MPG on the highway. The cabin is quiet and well-trimmed with an upscale design. The Touring model includes a premium audio systems and a 7-inch touch screen infotainment system. The roomy 2nd row is one of the CR-V’s best attributes.
