The 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback Sport represents a modern rare sweet spot today’s car buying world. You get: a fun and entertaining car to drive, room for 5 passengers, plenty of cargo space, good gas mileage, and a price under $22k. No other car on the market offers checks this many boxes.

The Honda Civic has been around since the early 1970’s and with the release of the current 10th generation model we get some unique changes both inside and out. The model seen here is the 5-door hatchback model in Sport Trim which has a base price of $21,300. The design is very polarizing and most either love it or hate it. Up front the lower fascia and black trim give the Civic an aggressive look. The 18-inch aluminum wheels look good in gloss black. Out back things get a little busy with the dual spoiler (one on the roof and the other on the hatch), dual center exhaust, and lower lip spoiler kit.

Under the hood is a 1.5 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder Earth Dreams engine that makes 180 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque. There are 2 transmission choices: a CVT and a 6-speed manual which is seen here. Fuel Economy checks in at 30 MPG in the city and 39 MPG on the highway.
