An anthropology graduate, Ms. Geraldine began her career working with refugees for the UN Refugee Agency. Her experience with the agency taught her that the greatest change happens at the local level, and she came to India to commit herself to helping make the changes that are so needed by the poorest in these communities. Since joining the Seb's Projects team, she has worked with Community Health and sustainable Livelihoods programs in the Jawadhi Hills tribal regions and in the rural/ slum areas of Velllore. Currently coordinating the Illuminae, SLP and HEAL Programs, her passion is using a community led approach in these areas to empower poverty affecting the female population, to improve their health and individual lives and to encourage them to become leaders in the welfare of their community

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
