What is Remembrance Day?: Remembrance Day is a time to think about the veterans who have fought in various wars protecting our freedom. It is a time to reflect on the sacrifices that soldiers have made for us to be able to live better lives.

What is a Poppy?: During the first few weeks of November, until November 11, Canadians will wear a special red flower poppy. A poppy is worn on the left side of the chest above the heart. The poppy is a symbol of remembrance for the soldiers who have fought for our freedom.

How is Remembrance Day celebrated?: In addition to wearing poppies, on November 11 at 11am, Canadians will observe a moment of silence to reflect on the sacrifices made by soldiers.
