The US House of Representatives has passed a motion condemning President Donald Trump for making racist comments. It follows a series of tweets in which Trump suggested four Democratic lawmakers should "go back" to their countries. All four are US citizens, and three were born in the country. All 235 Democrats in the House voted to condemn Trump, but the Congressional motion does not bear any legal repercussions for the president. The resolution is condemning Trump's remarks as “racist comments that have legitimized increased fear and hatred of new Americans and people of color.”
