As the UK gets ready to vote in December, fears of Russian meddling in the election have been reignited after suspicions that Russia worked to influence the Brexit referendum. This week the ruling Conservative party revealed it received a major donation from the wife of a former Russian minister after evidence emerged linking British Prime Minister Boris Johnson to a Russian oligarch. The Guardian newspaper reported that Boris Johnson met with Russian billionaire and former KGB officer Alexander Lebedev in Italy in April 2018, at a party organized by Lebedev's son Evgeny. Until recently Alexander Lebedev had denied the meeting. DW's Juri Rescheto met up with him in Moscow and filed this interview.
