British Prime minister Boris Johnson said that his government might not pay the Brexit divorce bill, at least not in full, if Britain was to leave the EU without a deal. In response to that the European Commission points out that a failure to pay could hamper future trade negotations. EU President Donald Tusk said there will be no trade deal negotiations without full Brexit payments by the UK.
Regarding talks of a possible US-UK trade deal between Donald Trump and Boris Johnson things also don't look to bright. The deal could help offset the economic damage of a no-deal Brexit, at least that's what British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been touting lately. But the US Congress has a say on every trade deal.
and there's strong, bipartisan support in Congress for the Good Friday Agreement. Top Democrat Nancy Pelosi says a trade deal has "no chance whatsoever" with a hard border to Ireland.
