Trade war: Trump dangles Huawei resolution and approves 16bn in farm subsidities | DW News

Chinese tech firm Huawei is caught in the middle of rising tensions in the US-China trade conflict . The US government put Huawei on a trade blacklist last week, banning US companies from doing business with it. But President Trump has said the dispute over Huawei might be able to be resolved within the framework of a US-China trade deal. Meanwhile, some of those hit hardest by the two countries' trade conflict are US farmers - and have included some of Donald Trump's most loyal supporters. Now the US government has signed off on a 16 billion dollar aid program for farmers - as many say all they want is a return to normality.
