Kendra FitzRandolph is a planner who understands design + process. She works to interpret a built environment in all its splendor and complexity. In each project she works on, Kendra will develop a plan grounded in urban planning rationale + ecological urban design systems to enable a cohesive process that will run with both the vernacular of an urban fabric and enhance the livability of an area. Her overarching goal is to contribute to enhancing the physical landscape to be adaptable and resilient to a changing environment as well as establish spaces that are both socially and economically engaging. With a Master Degree in Urban Planning and Design, she is currently completing a Graduate Degree in Landscape Architecture at Cornell University where she is exploring resilient design methods to mitigate climate change in coastal cities. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
