For more than forty years, Dr. Campbell has been at the forefront of nutrition research. His legacy, The China Project, is the most comprehensive study of health and nutrition ever conducted. Dr. Campbell is the Jacob Gould Schurman Professor Emeritus of Nutritional Biochemistry at Cornell University. He has more than seventy grant-years of peer-reviewed research funding and authored more than 300 research papers and coauthor of the bestselling the book, The China Study: Startling Implications for Diet, Weight Loss and Long-term Health. Campbell has lectured extensively around the U.S. and beyond since the book's publication, especially in medical schools and professional venues. He is encouraged that so many primary care physicians, who often have little or no formal training in nutrition, are now enthusiastically embracing plant-based nutrition as the premier medical specialty, not just of disease prevention but for disease treatment and health maintenance.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
