Philippe Leboutte is a Belgian entrepreneur passionate about sustainable homes and founder of the cooperative company "Paille-Tech".
His entrepreneurial journey started in 1992 when he opened, at the age of 24, his first Horeca establishment. In 2003, he started an import-export company of show business equipment, which allowed him to discover various cultures and the industrial segment.
During 2007, Philippe Leboutte decided to change his career and build an eco friendly house. The passion for ecology quickly led him to discover straw housing. After a traineeship in the end of that year, he launched the NGO Grapaille and the company Paille-Tech composed today of 7 freelance cooperators.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
